  • Two-Time Big 12 Commissioner's Spring Academic Honor Roll (2005, 2006)

2006 (Senior)

Mark O’Shea served as a reserve in the Nebraska linebacking corps and as a member of the Husker scout team during his Husker career. O’Shea did not see game action as a senior in 2006, after redshirting during the 2005 as a transfer from Iona College. O’Shea spent two seasons at Iona, where he played middle linebacker and served on special teams. O’Shea finished his career at Nebraska a year after his older brother, Matt, was a senior defensive lineman for the Huskers. A finance major, O’Shea was a two-time Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll pick.

O'Shea started at middle linebacker for Coach Bob Wonderlick at Jesuit College Prep in Dallas. A two-year letterman, O'Shea was also a standout on the track, as he was named the school's top athlete in field events his senior year.
