2009 Big 12 Commissioner's Spring Academic Honor Roll
2009 Outlook Taylor Dixon enters his second season in the Nebraska program looking to bid for playing time in the Nebraska receiving corps. The walk-on performer from Wauneta, Neb., sat out his first season as a redshirt and hopes to make an impact at a position where the Huskers' top two performers have graduated. Dixon is off to a strong start in the classroom, having been named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll each of his first two semesters.

Before Nebraska (Wauneta-Palisade HS) Taylor Dixon chose to walk on at Nebraska after a stellar career at Wauneta-Palisade High School. The 5-11, 170-pound athlete rushed for better than 1,000 yards three seasons in a row in the eight-man ranks, and also passed for 1,000 yards his senior season. For his efforts on the field, Dixon earned first-team all-state honors in Class D-1 by the Omaha World-Herald. Dixon is projected to play defensive back at Nebraska. Dixon was also a basketball standout, earning honorable-mention Class D-1 all-state honors by the World-Herald and Lincoln Journal Star. Dixon finished sixth in the 400 and fourth in the 200 at the Class D state track meet his senior year.
Personal Dixon is the son of Brad and Mindi Dixon, and was born on Oct. 27, 1989. He is majoring in pre-dentistry and carries a 3.655 cumulative grade-point average. Dixon has volunteered his time with team hospital visits and as a speaker during American Education Week.
