2003 (Senior)
Brett Lindstrom earned his first letter for the Huskers in 2003, after appearing in five career games. The Millard West High School graduate appeared in two games as a quarterback in 2003, taking snaps against Troy State and Texas A&M.

2002 (Junior)
Lindstrom spent the 2002 season as a free safety, but did not see any game action because of a foot injury.

2001 (Sophomore)
In 2001, Lindstrom had one carry for six yards at quarterback against Rice in his only game of the season.

2000 (Redshirt Freshman)
Lindstrom played against Baylor and Kansas as a redshirt freshman in 2000, with one carry for minus-six yards against Baylor.

1999 (Freshman)
A walk-on, Lindstrom redshirted in 1999.

Before Nebraska (Millard West HS)
Lindstrom played at Millard West for Dan McLaughlin, who later joined the Husker program as a graduate assistant. Lindstrom played free safety, wingback, quarterback and returned kicks for the Wildcats. In his senior season, Lindstrom rushed for 1,079 yards from his wingback spot and helped Millard West to the state championship game. He was second-team All-Metro by the Omaha World-Herald and earned honorable-mention Class A all-state honors. Lindstrom also lettered three years in track.

Personal
The son of Dan and Deb Lindstrom, Brett was born on March 23, 1981. Brett's father, Dan, lettered as a defensive end for Nebraska from 1978 to 1980, while his uncle, Roger, lettered three years at wingback from 1983 to 1985. Lindstrom plays in a band called "Golliday" in his time away from the field, along with former teammate Joe Chrisman. Lindstrom was a member of the 2003 Nebraska Football Unity Council. A two-time Big 12 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll member, Lindstrom graduated with a bachelor's degree in history in May 2004.
