2007 (Senior)
Offensive lineman Victory Haines served in a reserve role in his two seasons in the Husker program. Haines played in two games during his senior year (USC, Kansas State) as a reserve offensive tackle, after appearing in five games as a junior. He closed his career as a two-year letterman with appearances in seven contests. 

The 6-7, 290-pound Haines enrolled at Nebraska in January of 2006, after previously playing at Snow College in Utah. Haines distinguished himself in the classroom at Nebraska as a first-team academic All-Big 12 selection in 2007. He was also a four-time member of the Big 12 Commissioiner’s Academic Honor Roll. Haines earned his degree in secondary education/mathematics in December of 2007. He also earned recognition for his work in the community while he was a Husker as one of 10 players named to the 2007 Brook Berringer Citizenship Team.

2006 (Junior)
In 2006, Haines appeared in five games during his first season in a Nebraska uniform, playing in each of the first four games and also at Oklahoma State.

Before Nebraska (Snow College/Logan HS)
Haines played at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah, and was among the nation’s top junior college linemen. He was ranked 77th on the Rivals.com Junior College Top 100 and ranked among the SuperPrep JUCO 100. After redshirting his first year at Snow College, Haines embarked on a two-year mission to Hungary in 2002.

Haines was named the team MVP for Coach Steve Coburn at Snow College, the school that recently produced defensive end C.J. Ah You of Oklahoma and offensive tackle Taitusi Lutui of USC. Haines led his team to a 10-2 record and a victory in the Top of the Mountains Bowl, where Snow College defeated Butler, 17-14 at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Snow College finished 2005 with a No. 7 national ranking. Haines also helped Snow College to a Top of the Mountain Bowl win in 2004. He was a 2005 All-Western States Football League first-team honoree, and was named a third-team Junior College Wire All-American in 2005.

Haines graduated from Logan High School in 2001, where he led his squad to a state title in 2000, and then enrolled at Snow College in the fall of 2001. Originally from Logan, Utah, Haines chose NU over Duke, Hawaii, Illinois and New Mexico State.

Personal
Victory is the son of Barbara and Keith Haines and was born on March 3, 1983. Haines was a first-team academic All-Big 12 selection in 2007 and was a four-time member of the Big 12 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. He was also chosen to the 2007 Brook Berringer Citizenship Team.
