2004 Outlook
Redshirt freshman Zach Miller was one of four Husker quarterbacks charged with the duty of mastering the West Coast Offense during spring practice. Miller had an impressive spring and hopes to push for playing time this fall. Miller originally joined the Husker program as a wide receiver, but switched to quarterback last fall and was the signal caller for the scout team.

2003 (Redshirt)
A walk-on, Miller redshirted in his first season at Nebraska.

Before Nebraska (Bishop Neumann HS)
Miller was a three-sport standout at Wahoo's Bishop Neumann High School. He played quarterback and safety for Coach Tim Turman and helped Neumann to a Class C-1 state title in 2002 as a senior, a semifinal appearance in 2001 and a state runner-up finish in 2000. Miller lettered four year and as a senior passed for 1,140 yards and rushed for another 973 yards to earn first-team Class C-1 all-state honors from the Omaha World-Herald and the Lincoln Journal Star. He was an honorable-mention all-state pick in basketball, where started two seasons and averaged 13 points per game as a senior. He helped Neumann to back-to-back state titles as a junior and senior. Miller also lettered twice in track.

Personal
The son of Buzz and Ramona Miller, Zach was born on Oct. 4, 1984. He has not declared a major.
