2008 (Senior)
Christensen returned to the Nebraska roster in September of 2008, following a suspension, and was a reserve throughout the season. He did not see game action.

2007 (Junior)
In 2007, Christensen was entrenched as a starting guard before he went down with a season-ending knee injury in the third game against USC.

2006 (Sophomore)
Christensen played in all 14 games with eight starts. He served the early portion of the season as Nebraska’s top reserve at both guard spots. However, Christensen moved into the starting lineup at mid-season after Greg Austin continued to battle knee injuries.

Christensen helped Nebraska to five 200-yard rushing games as four Husker I-backs combined to run for more than 2,400 yards and 26 touchdowns. He played a key role in protecting senior quarterback Zac Taylor, who earned Big 12 Offensive Player-of-the-Year honors, while throwing for a school-record 3,197 yards. In addition to his work on the offensive front, Christensen was also on NU’s PAT and FG units.

2005 (Redshirt Freshman)
Christensen suffered a shoulder injury during fall camp, and the subsequent surgery sidelined him for the entire season.

2004 (Redshirt)
One of five native Nebraskans in the 2004 class, Christensen redshirted and made an excellent impression on the scout team.

Before Nebraska (Bennington HS)
Christensen was a two-way standout for Coach Greg Bohn at Bennington High, where he started for three years at offensive tackle and was a four-year starter at defensive tackle. As a senior, Christensen compiled 112 tackles and 10 sacks to help the Badgers earn a state playoff berth. He was also a dominant blocker, earning second-team All-Nebraska honors from the Omaha World-Herald and first-team Class C-2 honors from the paper. Christensen earned second-team super-state honors from the Lincoln Journal Star and was a first-team Class C-2 pick as an offensive lineman. As a junior, he led Class C-2 with more than 120 tackles, while recording 10 sacks.

Christensen also starred for Bennington's wrestling team, and captured the Class C heavyweight state title as a senior. He missed his junior year of wrestling because of injury, but finished fourth in the state as a sophomore and was a state qualifier as a freshman. In track, Christensen won the Class C state shot put title by nearly seven feet with a heave of 60-5, the second-best throw regardless of class at the 2004 state meet. He added a third-place finish in the discus with a throw of 157-3.

Christensen produced a 4.1 grade-point average and ranked in the top five percent of his class. He was also a member of the National Honor Society. Christensen chose Nebraska over Iowa, Iowa State and Colorado State.
