2005 (Senior)
Nebraska native Joey Robison was one of Huskers’ top special teams standouts for each of his final two seasons. A walk-on, Robison played in 26 career games, while also serving as a reserve cornerback for the Husker defense.

Robison was one of Nebraska’s top special teams tacklers in 2005, as he registered 12 tackles, including four solos, while appearing in all 12 games on NU’s kickoff and punt coverage units. Robison also saw action as a reserve cornerback for the Huskers, helping Nebraska rank among the nation’s top pass defenses. Robison produced a career-high five tackles, including two solos, in the Huskers’ win over Wake Forest. He assisted on two stops against Texas Tech.

A first-team academic All-Big 12 honoree in the classroom in 2005, Robison earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanized systems management from Nebraska in December of 2005. He was one of 10 December graduates for the football team, and one of 12 Huskers to compete in the Alamo Bowl with his degree in hand.

2004 (Junior)
Robison played in six games during his junior year, primarily on special teams coverage, and made an unassisted tackle at Iowa State.

2003 (Sophomore)
Robison was on the travel squad to Southern Miss and appeared late in the contest. He also played in wins over Iowa State and Texas A&M, but did not record a tackle.

2002 (Redshirt Freshman)
Robison played in five of the first six games of the season as a reserve cornerback, but missed the latter portion of the year with a knee injury.

2001 (Redshirt)
Robison walked on and redshirted in his first season at Nebraska.

Before Nebraska (Bertrand HS)
Robison was a three-sport star at Bertrand High School, earning 12 combined letters in football, basketball and track. He played quarterback and free safety on the gridiron for Coach Brent Streeter, and earned first-team Class C-2 all-state honors as a defensive back during his senior season. In addition to his football honors, Robison picked up second-team all-state honors in basketball and was a four-time academic all-state selection.

Personal
The son of Garry and Kathy Robison, Joey was born on April 10, 1982. Robison earned first-team academic All-Big 12 honors as a senior, and earned his bachelor's degree in December of 2005, after majoring in mechanized systems management at Nebraska. He was a seven-time Big 12 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll selection.
