Florida Atlantic: Solid in first career start with 213 yards on 15-of-22 passing including two TD... helped NU average 8.6 total offense yards per play. Arkansas State: Posted first career 300-yard game with 340 yards on 27-of-35 passing... tossed four TDs without an interception... completed passes to 11 players. Virginia Tech: Completed just 11-of-30 pass attempts for 136 yards in a defensive slugfest... marked third straight game with completion of at least 35 yards... rushed eight times for 38 yards, helping NU to 207 yards on the ground. Louisiana-Lafayette: Rebounded with strong performance, completing 15-of-18 pass attempts for 238 yards... tossed 4-yard scoring pass to Chris Brooks... hit three receivers with five long (20-plus yards) pass plays. Missouri: Struggled early but led NU on four scoring drives in fourth-quarter comeback... finished just 14-of-33 passing but had three TD passes in less than three minutes... tossed 56-yard TD to Niles Paul, longest pass of his career. Texas Tech: Completed 16-of-22 pass attempts for 128 yards... had nine rushes for zero yards after being sacked four times. Iowa State: Game captain... completed 20-of-37 pass attempts for 248 yards... recorded career-long 72-yard pass to Niles Paul... had three passes intercepted, matching total in first six games combined. Baylor: Did not play. Oklahoma: Came off bench to complete 5-of-9 passes for 35 yards and a TD... first play from scrimmage was 1-yard pass for game’s only TD.

2009 Outlook
Junior Zac Lee will enter fall camp with a strong lead in the race to replace Joe Ganz as Nebraska's starting quarterback for the 2009 season. The 6-2, 215-pound Lee excelled during spring ball, capped by a strong performance in the Red-White Game when he connected on 15-of-18 passes for 214 yards and three touchdowns. Lee has a strong arm and good mobility, adding another dimension to the Husker offense.

Lee saw limited action as a reserve behind Ganz last season, but continued to gain a better knowledge of the offense. Lee arrived at Nebraska in January of 2007 from City College of San Francisco, but redshirted in his first season and handled the scout team quarterback chores. Lee comes from a quarterback background, as his father, Bob, played quarterback in the National Football League for 12 seasons from 1969 to 1980. 

2008 (Sophomore)
Lee appeared in two games for the Huskers in 2008, helping NU post wins over Western Michigan and Kansas State. He completed two passes for 17 yards in both contests.

2007 (Redshirt)
Lee was one of six players in the 2007 class to join the team in January. He was limited to light throwing during spring ball because of a knee injury, then sat out as a redshirt. He was rewarded for his practice work as the offensive Scout Team MVP. 

Before Nebraska (St. Ignatius Prep/San Francisco City College)
Lee came to Nebraska following a highly successful 2006 season at City College of San Francisco, the same school as former standout Husker receiver Maurice Purify and Lee's current teammate, Dejon Gomes. Lee had a standout campaign for Coach George Rush, with more than 3,400 passing yards and 35 touchdowns while completing 64 percent of his passes. Lee's performance led San Francisco City College to a 10-2 record and an appearance in the California junior college title game. The City College of San Francisco offense averaged nearly 40 points per game with Lee at the controls. Lee was ranked as the nation's top junior college quarterback by Rivals.com, Scout.com and SuperPrep Magazine. Lee sat out the 2005 season before enrolling in junior college in January of 2006.

Lee starred in both football and baseball at St. Ignatius College Prep in San Francisco. He was a three-year all-league quarterback in high school, but focused much of his time on baseball, limiting his Division I football scholarship offers out of high school. Lee chose Nebraska after also receiving strong recruiting interest from Oklahoma, Fresno State and Mississippi State among others.

Personal
Zac was born April 26, 1987, and is the son of Bob and Janice Lee. His father played quarterback for 12 seasons in the NFL from 1969 to 1980, spending time with the Vikings, Falcons and Rams. The elder Lee had his best season in 1973 when he threw for more than 1,700 yards for the Falcons. Bob Lee also served as the athletic director at University of the Pacific. Zac is majoring in business administration and is a three-time Big 12 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll selection. Lee is on track to earn his degree in May of 2010, and would play his senior season as a graduate student. He has been a volunteer on local hospital visits and with the Special Olympics.
