Career
Senior Kiffin Wigert (pronounced WIG-ert) was one of several Husker wide receivers who competed for playing time during the first season of Nebraska’s West Coast Offense in 2004. He played in a reserve role at "Z" receiver and saw action in the season finale against Colorado.

The Cheyenne, Wyo., native played a total of four games during both his sophomore and junior seasons, but did not record a reception. He did not see game action in 2001, and he redshirted in 2000 after walking on to the Husker program.

Wigert was named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the first time in the fall of 2004. He graduated with a degree in business administration in May of 2005.

Before Nebraska (Central HS)
Wigert played tailback for Central High School in Cheyenne, Wyo., helping his team to the state semifinals his senior season. Wigert earned first-team all-state honors for two years, rushing for 980 yards in nine games in 1999 with 14 touchdowns. He also lettered three times in basketball and six times in track.

Personal
The son of Teri Wigert and Howard Wigert, Kiffin was born on June 1, 1981, in Scottsbluff, Neb. He is a business administration major.
