2003 (Senior)
Chris Loos ended his five-year Nebraska career after signing a professional contract with the Lincoln Capitols in April of 2004. Loos earned three letters for the Huskers despite battling injuries throughout much of his career.

The 6-3, 290-pound offensive tackle from Lincoln Southeast played in 14 games in his career, including the Troy State, Texas A&M and Kansas games as a senior in 2003.

2002 (Junior)
Loos had surgery to reconstruct the PCL in his left knee in January of 2002, and did not see any action during the season.

2001 (Sophomore)
Loos continued to have swelling in his left knee, had arthroscopic surgery to reduce swelling in both May and October of 2001, and did not play in any games.

2000 (Redshirt Freshman)
Loos played in all 11 regular-season games, primarily as the right guard on Nebraska's PAT and field goal units, but also as a backup tackle. Loos had 15 pancakes on the season (1.4 per game), including a career-best five vs. Kansas and four at Texas Tech. He moved up to No. 2 at left tackle after Jon Rutherford was lost to a season-ending injury in November, but Loos suffered his own major knee injury (torn left ACL, MCL and PCL) during bowl preparations. He underwent reconstructive surgery for the ACL and MCL injuries.

1999 (Redshirt)
A scholarship athlete, Loos chose to redshirt his first year.

Before Nebraska (Southeast HS)
Loos was a two-year starting offensive and defensive tackle for Coach Chuck Mizerski at Lincoln Southeast, helping the Knights to a 25-1 record and Class A state championships in 1997 and 1998. Loos had 67 tackles on defense as a senior, including 13 tackles for loss. He was a two-time Lincoln Journal Star Super-State honoree on the offensive line and captured All-Nebraska honors from the Omaha World-Herald in 1998. Loos also competed in wrestling and track at Southeast, qualifying for the state meet in both sports. A three-time state qualifier in the 275-pound wrestling class, Loos finished third in Class A as a senior with an 18-2 record. He also qualified three times for the state track meet in the discus. Loos chose Nebraska over Michigan, Kentucky and Tennessee.

Personal
The son of Jodi and Wes Loos, Chris was born in Lincoln on May 19, 1981. Loos earned his bachelor's degree in 2003.
