Knapton Finishes 30th on Three Meter

Indianapolis - Nebraska freshman Abigail Knapton finished 30th among 50 competitors in the first NCAA Championship event of her career on Friday in Indianapolis. Knapton, a freshman from Omaha, posted a score of 281.90 in the preliminaries.

Minnesota senior Yu Zhou won the NCAA title with a 392.75 in the finals, while Miami's Pei Lin was the NCAA runner-up with a 383.50. Overall, four Big Ten divers earned spots in Friday night's finals, while seven Big Ten divers finished among the top-16 divers in the nation.

Knapton, who won the NCAA Zone D Diving Championship in the platform last week, will compete in tomorrow's platform competition.
