Lincoln, Neb.- The Nebraska cross country team heads to Lawrence, Kan., Saturday, Sept. 29, for the first KU Rim Rock Farm Classic hosted by the University of Kansas. Competition begins with the men's race at 9 a.m.

Head Coach David Harris said the Huskers are excited to compete in the first-year meet.

"I think it is going to be a great meet." Harris said. "There are some good programs that are competing at the meet, including two Big Ten schools (Michigan and Indiana)."

On the women's side junior co-captain Sarah Plambeck will return to competition after missing the Woody Greeno/Nebraska Invitational with an injury. Junior co-captain Isabel Andrade and sophomore Sarah Larson will be looked to for leadership at the meet as well.

On the men's side, junior captain Jarren Heng will lead a young Husker team against a the toughest competitive field that Nebraska has faced yet this season.

"Our schedule gets a little tougher each week, as we prepare for the Big Ten conference championships," Harris said.

Huskers.com will have full results following the action on Saturday.
