Bid on an Historic NU Program Cover Signed by the Players who Started it All
"A Tribute to Tradition" was the theme when Nebraska's 1962 football team was honored at Memorial Stadium this season for launching the Huskers into an orbit that includes 303 consecutive football sellouts - an NCAA record and still counting. The players who returned to Lincoln for the "throwback jersey" reunion weekend signed an authentic cover of that 1962 Nebraska-Missouri game program that became the first sellout in the record streak.
Dwain Carlson, the only remaining captain from that team, signed the cover. So did quarterback Dennis Claridge and all the other stars who played such an important part in Nebraska football history. All of the players who were honored that weekend have this same jointly signed cover from that 300th consecutive sellout celebration. Now, you can have one just like they do. Bidding for each signed cover begins at $100 and will include minimum incremental bids of $10. Auction ends on Friday, Nov. 13 at 3:30pm.
This piece of Nebraska football history would make a perfect holiday gift for that special fan in your family.
** A $10 shipping fee will be added to the winning bid ** Funds generated from this auction will directly benefit the student-athletes within The University of Nebraska Department of Athletics.
