Bladen Bayless redshirted in his first season at Nebraska.
Before Nebraska (Beatrice HS)
Bayless was a standout at Beatrice High School. During his senior season, Bayless helped power a rushing attack that averaged better than 225 yards per game. Defensively, Bayless had 29 tackles, five tackles for loss and a sack. He earned honorable-mention all-state accolades from the Omaha World-Herald as a senior. As a junior, Bayless had three tackles and a tackle for loss and recorded 17 total tackles.
