2023-24 (Freshman)
Lani Breedlove made her Husker Debut during her freshman season, competing in five of nine regular season tournaments, as well as the postseason NCAA Lansing Regional. Breedlove’s freshman campaign was highlighted by her first MVP honors at the Track Kat Klash, with an 1,130 pinfall total. Breedlove ended the season with a 5,047 pinfall total and a 201.9 average for 25 games. Off the lanes, Breedlove excelled in the classroom earning the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll for both the Fall and Spring semesters as well as placement on the Tom Osborne Citizenship team for her first year.

Before Nebraska

A graduate of Oswego High School, Lani Breedlove was a four-time team MVP and all-conference member. She was the rookie of the year in 2020, a three-time member of the IHSA all-state team and received multiple athlete of the week honors white being named athlete of the month. During her high school career, she won numerous IHSA tournament titles and in her senior season, she set the Oswego High School and IHSA tournament record with an 806 series. Additionally, Breedlove was a part of the Illinois State Scholarship Lake Michigan Team for three-straight years, and in 2021, she received the MVP Michigan Cup.

Breedlove also excelled in the classroom as she was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated Summa Cum Laude.


Personal

The daughter of Chris and Michelle Breedlove, Lani’s intended major is health, nutrition and exercise science. Her current career goal is to become an athletic trainer. Breedlove was one sister, Brittany, a bowler at St. Ambrose.
